Job: Quality Data Analyst

Position Summary
Designs, develops and validates quality data reports to promote clinical patient care and meet required quality measures in both the inpatient and ambulatory environments. Effectively analyzes data to validate clinical improvements or identify opportunities for improvement. Assists in the creation of quality specific scorecards, dashboards or daily reports, utilizing real time or historical data to enhance clinical care of patients. Serves as liaison and chief point of contact between the Quality Department, Business Analytics, Data Analytics and EPIC resource team.
This position reports to the Director of Quality with a matrixed relationship to the CIO and CFO.
Essential Functions
-Confers/collaborates effectively with quality personnel and unit-based quality teams in originating, handling, processing, or receiving reports to fully understand the data request, including desired use, required data fields, timelines and general expectations.
-Designs, builds or revises usable quality data for quality staff, ranging from basic to complex in scope.
-Works with Finance Department to monetize all quality improvement programs/processes/teams.
-Participates in data validation and quality efforts as they pertain to reporting, data, metrics, and report creation and execution. Develops reports and reporting solutions with high attention to details.
-Generates reports and extracts from relational and hierarchical/network databases using tools and techniques that quickly and efficiently deliver results, ex. SQL, SSRS, Crystal, EPIC workbench, proprietary quality databases, etc.
-Validates the accuracy of all programs and/or data reports developed within the Quality department.
-Assists in clinical analysis of data.
-Supports organizational clinical improvement and departmental initiatives.
-Assists in the oversight of organization data feeds into clinical benchmarking databases, ensuring timely submission and/or validating accuracy and completeness of data feeds.
-Serves as a resource to organizational project team members with reports, raw data and analytics knowledge.
-Communicates effectively with colleagues on timelines, implications of a requested change and/or an alternative solution that may better address the requirement.
-Plans independently the full range of reporting and related programming actions needed to achieve desired results.
-Performs other duties as assigned
-Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience
-One year of experience in business intelligence, data warehouse or enterprise reporting, involving a variety of reporting tools and following a structured methodology preferred.
-One year of experience working on BI projects preferred.
-Epic Certified in Cogito Fundamentals or obtain Cogito Fundamentals within 6-months of taking the class.
-Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Access preferred.
Education
-Associates degree in Computer Science, Nursing or related field preferred.
