Overview


Tand the role: Talent Acquisition Specialist @ ANDRITZ North America. This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining overall capacity planning schedules for the facility. The core ERP database is SAP and used to execute production order assignment flows that include publishing interdepartmentally and with outside departments supporting the Service Center. The role focuses on custom-made engineered components, assemblies and rebuilds, maintaining system data and developing daily/weekly production schedules in conjunction with sales, engineering, warehouse and purchasing. Leads the structure and sets the agenda of daily board meetings to discuss accuracy of all departmental timeline assignments.



Responsibilities



  • Develop and maintain production schedules including daily, weekly and long-term plans to optimize resource use and meet capital, repair and aftermarket order targets.

  • Understand, develop and maintain ERP (SAP) settings to streamline coordination of labor, machinery and material timelines, maximizing efficiency and throughput.

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the workflow of all facility departments to ensure orders are produced efficiently and delivered on time, balancing customer demand, available resources, inventory levels and outsource commitments.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Procurement, Service Center Production and Quality Assurance to ensure production runs smoothly and orders are fulfilled.

  • Respond quickly to production issues (e.g., equipment failures, material shortages, last-minute changes) and adjust the master schedule for visibility.

  • Identify and address issues during production order execution, making adjustments to schedules and processes to minimize delays with supervision as needed.

  • Ensure all production order labor operations and materials are scanned and completed in real time; hold departmental supervisors accountable.

  • Track production progress, analyze historical data and prepare reports for leadership on order challenges to support forecast accuracy.

  • Work with Planners to establish production order standards for planned hour determinations and define standard workflows that automate SAP processes.

  • Continuously review and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.



Specialized Job Skills



  • Thorough knowledge of modern office practices; proficient in MS Office. SAP experience is required.

  • Understanding of company policies and procedures; ability to apply them clearly and accurately.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers and managers.

  • Ability to project a positive, professional image; strong written and oral communication skills.



Basic Education and Experience



  • An associate or bachelors degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is often preferred.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, especially in a scheduling or planning role, is required.

  • Problem-solving: strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to anticipate issues, analyze data, and develop solutions.

  • Technical skills: proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills; ability to leverage technology to automate tasks.



Physical Demands


The role requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods. May involve extended movements including stooping, bending and lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds. Visual inspections and precise hand movements are required.


Position is primarily in an office environment with time on the shop floor where PPE is required (e.g., steel-toed shoes and safety glasses).
