*Position Overview*
Pet Food / Protein Laborers are responsible for operating machinery, performing manual labor, and supporting production processes in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim's standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency.
**
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities*
* Operate machinery and perform manual labor tasks as assigned
* Process product according to established procedures and quality/quantity expectations
* Observe equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns to appropriate personnel
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Assist team members by sharing knowledge and skills gained from the position
* Follow all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies
* Maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and teamwork
* Recognize and act on safety risks; consistently practice and enforce safe work habits
* Participate in process improvement and problem-solving using continuous improvement methods
* Follow all company animal welfare guidelines
* Perform other duties as assigned
